Fertile Soil

Now that my blog has been online for a while, I actually get email queries from people on occasion. Some people tell me via email that they agree with my approach to the good news, while some say I'm just full of sh**. To the latter I'll share this Craneism: "It's takes rich manuer to fertilize a field that feeds many." I teach the way I do because this is who I am. My personality didn't die on the cross with Christ, my sins did. But the fact remains that I teach what I believe to be the core truth of knowing Christ. My approach is what I'm most suited for. We reach people with the message of Christ by being ourselves, not by being formed to a cookie cutter rendition of Christianity, the molded pre-fab with expectations following. Our lives are unique, and our personalities differ greatly - But it is in this fertile environment, the soil of our daily life, where God's message is planted, tended, and harvested. God meets us at our point of need. And we don't have to clean up our act first and put on our best suit for Him to get His attention. He loves us just as we are.

Faith isn't a 12 step program to perfection. Let go, and let grace and mercy do it's perfect work in you.

Chris Crane
