Accusing the Brethren
Accusing the Brethren
It really sucks. If you have something negative to say about someone in the ministry then they play the accuser card on you.. "don't be an accuser of the brethren, brother." Accuser of the Brethren. That's silly. The world is doing a fine job of accusing us already, so.. well, maybe you're right.
God is seeking a remnant of believers. Those who stand on the principals of faith no matter if the walls of the church have been freshly built or fallen down. The ones who can stand by faith in a crowd of 10,000 or alone in a valley of despair. The petty crisis' we call defending the faith today in western culture are just plain stupid when you backup and look at them for a minute. You know what, so what they took away the 10 commandments in Alabama or wherever that was. Do we need the granite statue to contend with our own inner moral dilemas? I think not. We need to wipe the dust off the bible, and start actually reading the thing for ourselves. There's alot of personal insight and revelation that comes from not keeping up with the spiritual Jones', and just trying to break new ground in your own faith. Head knowledge, book knowledge, learned teachers and preachers, tape studies, bible classes - all well and good - but still our ultimate best teacher is experience. Putting feet to our faith, rather than getting our knees dirty all the time.
Love God in your everyday, down and dirty existance. In your best times, and your worst - He never changes.
Peace
Chris
