Love the World

I find it amazing how I get tons of care and support from total strangers outside the walls of the church , and not from the ones who are supposed to be our 'family'? It happens so often for me, it blows me away. The church folk stick together like a pack of wolves and protect their own, (and sometimes eat their young)... but the one's who aren't in the pack so-to-speak show more genuine concern for my well-being and success than my own brothers and sisters of the faith. Something somewhere got twisted.. and it's evident in Pauls own writings. He admonishes us to hate the world, we're not of the world, shouldn't be a part of the world... funny though that the God we serve and invoke in times of need came to this world robed in flesh, lived, suffered, and died for the world.. because He loved us so much. Something somewhere is missing from our faith, and it's found in the generousity and care of those who never set foot inside a church congregation. Think about it.
