The Water of Life

I've been doing some study on the living water. Not specifically the 'Living Water' spoken of in the New Testament of the bible, but water that's all around us - what we drink, bathe in, swim in, ski on, and sail across. The rain that falls to earth, the water that's evaporated and the largest living thing on earth, the sea. Even the water within you and me, since the human body is at least 75% water.

I've been studying some of the work called 'The Message from Water', by Masaru Emoto. Experiments were done using water and a super mega powerful microscope. They tested water from a number of environments, under various conditions, including being spoken to, yelled at, and music being played, even the most subtle test - afixing a label to a jar. What was found is that water lived and reacted to various forms of stimulation. It appeared to change its molecular structure depending on where it was, and what it appeared to feel. They could tell this by testing the water, then freezing it. The ice crystals it formed showed more structure and beauty from being prayed over, kind words spoken, or even a simple label that said 'love' or some other kind word being taped the jar - would produce an almost instanteous change in the water.

Many bible stories come to mind with this study. The rivers of blessing, the living water, the parting of the Sea of Reeds, Jesus walking on water, and calming the sea and the storm, or turning the water to wine. The woman at the well (drawing water), Noah and the flood, the earth covered in water when God arrived on the scene. etc. etc. I could go on a while.

In every situation where God interacted with water, the water obeyed God's command. Not as an object with no choice, but because of a conscious decision did it do what was requested. Perhaps water doesn't have a will, or maybe it's just willing.

I'm sitting here staring at my iced tea.
I think I'll say a few kind words to it before I drink it.

p.s., here's the website if you want to study for yourself.
